My love for fashion, begin when I was in middle school. That was when I notice fashion models in magazines. I was fascinated by their look and what they were wearing. So when selecting my high school, I found that there was a school that catered to fashion (HS of Fashion Industry). This was and is a place where I could learn everything about fashion.

I later went on to study at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City (Listed #2 as one of the best colleges in the world).

A decision I never regretted.

I spent 40 exciting and fabulous years in the garment industry working for major design companies such as, Calvin Klein, Liz Clairborne, Emmanuel Ungro , Anne Klein, Anne Taylor and Jones of NY to name a few.

I have held major positions in these companies such as Pattern-maker, Technical Designer, Director of Technical Design and Vice President of Technical Design.

In 1999, I started my own business working for major design companies like Rebecca Taylor, Peter Som, Sean John, Eileen Fisher and entertainers like Oprah Winfrey and Rosie O’Donnell.

I retired in early 2022, and I’ve always told myself that when I retired, I would open up a workshop to teach students.

Once you have recognized your gift, you then must recognize the obligation you have to help grow the next generation of creatives.
